Czaplicki B1 Georgia O'Keefe

Some phenomenal work from these students in capturing the essence of Georgia O'Keefe.
Georgia focused her work on flowers, seashells, and animal bones.
She painted very large, and cropped the objects in interesting ways.

She used bright colorful backgrounds.
And pinpoint detailing.

A3 Czaplicki sketchbook

Here are the results of their focus! Awesome self portriats!
We learned facial proportion. You can see this student is making sure their art is symmetrical.
I love watching their abilities grow!

A3 Czaplicki Focused Work

An art teacher's dream. The students were SO focused on their sketchbook today that they asked for more time. It was also so quiet that you could hear a pin drop!
Great job, A3!

I will post more pictures as they are completed!  Great job! :)

Kluender A2 Art 6

Day one of clay....future makenki nekos!
Today, we created two pinch pots and used the score, slip and seal method to attach them together into an "egg" shape. These will be the bodies for our maneki nekos...

A VERY IMPORTANT part of any Art project, especially clay, is STUDIO MAINTENANCE! We learn to make a mess....and we learn how to clean it up! Students are assigned a clean up duty according to the cards where they sit. Some clean up teams washed tables, some collected tools or smocks, etc. Maintaning a clean work environment is an important part of any shared studio space. These guys did a great job!
