Last Flex for 3 Weeks!

Because of SOL testing we will NOT be having our
Open Studio during flex for the next few weeks!
If a student needs to do any make-up work, they will need to schedule a time after school with Ms. Czaplicki!
Good luck testing!
(How adorable is this hedgehog?! Look at the detail! Incredible)

Czaplicki Art 6 B1, A3 & B3 Masks

Students are creating masks out of clay based off of a 'fear' that they have identified.
STudents have discussed how we become afraid. How fears and monsters can differ from culture to culture.
We created drape molds and have been using hand building techniques to create these masterpieces.

Suntrust Art Show

Last night, students from across the area were honored at the Suntrust Plaza in downtown Richmond for their exceptional artwork!

Only one artist was selected from each art teacher.

Captain "Cat" Sparrow is a piece from Ms. Kluender's Computer Art classes.

Recognize anybody?

Czaplicki A2 Sketchbook

Every class starts with a sketchbook entry. Today we were learning how to break complex pictures into simple shapes. We drew an elephant!

I love watching them take the basic shapes and turn them into a detailed animal!

If your student still has not brought all their supplies in- make sure they have ASAP.
