At the beginning of every class we do a 10 minute sketch to warm up. Here our students are doing a "test" sketchbook.They learned the "Dos and Don'ts of Drawing a Sketchbook." Students have to also write two sentences to describe what they were drawing!
We talked about details, drawing to fill the page, and drawing what you SEE. We don't want to use symbols anymore! (NO STICK FIGURES, SPIDER SUNS, OR LOLLIPOP TREES)
Students were asked to draw a place they would like to visit! This student has already started drawing a volcano! What a creative idea!
A whole class of 6th graders, silently working! GREAT JOB, GUYS! :)
