Czaplicki Art 6 Monotype
Our Art 6 Students are hard at work on our monotype prints.
Mono means ONE. That's because for each run of the plate you only get 1 print.
Here you can see the plate and the print of a bald eagle.
Again- here is the plate and print. Look at that lovely texture detail!
Each student did research on birds of North America. Then, copying the style of John James Audubon, we drew detailed drawings of a selected bird. Audubon did hyper-realistic drawings of birds!
Once done drawing we made copies of their image. The students roll ink out on plexiglass, gently press the paper on top and trace. Anywhere they trace with a pencil- picks up ink. We also make Ghost Prints! Ask your students about whats makes the prints so spooky!
Soon we will be coloring in!
Please ask your student about where they are in the process?

Students working on their digital projects in computer art.
Students working on their studio projects in computer art class.
Kluender B2 Computer Art 78
Computer Art (CA) strudents are finishing up their first digital project. For most students, this is their first experience with Adobe Photoshop, which can be overwhelming. But, they are doing a great job experimenting with filters and familiarizing themselves with Photoshop.
Art 6 Research
Students research birds- just the way John James Audobon would!
From this research we will create our own bird drawings.

Kluender A2 Art 6
Students that have been identified as "Art GT" or gifted in the area of visual art are being challenged to complete their drawings in colored pencil, instead of grayscale pencil. Differentitaion of instruction ensures that all students will be working to their full potential.
After students are done shading, they will be collecting color samples from magazines....we will be creating a mosaic background next!
They are doing such a great job! Do you recognize any of these celebrities?
Kluender A2 Art 6
Art 6 is working on a grid drawing. They chose their favorite celebrity to work from. They are drawing them using the grid method. Then, after erasing the gridlines, they are using grayscale pencil to add shading. We are even using ebony pencils to add really dark values!

Kluender a2 Art 6
Art 6 semester project! Students drew from a still life. Then they overlaid a grid and are beginning to apply "filters" to each box.
