Students are beginning to transfer their drawings to their LEATHERHARD clay platter. We discussed the 5 stages that our clay project will go through to become a finished CERAMIC piece :)

After transferring the image, we are using carving tools to scratch through or remove the layer of underglaze to reveal the clay underneath in the areas we want white.
