Czaplicki Art 6 A3 Sketchbook and Paper Mâché

Our sketchbook today focused on doing a contour line drawing. Students had to keep their pencil on the paper and continuously draw. They were not allowed to pick their pencil up off the paper. They were also suppose to focus on the paint bottle 90% of the time and their drawing 10% of the time. This reinforces the idea to LOOK at what they draw. This insures accuracy and realistic detail. Very impressive!

Students also began paper mache-ing their masks based off of fear today. While it is MESSY- it is fun. We built armature's last class and now we're adding our first coat of paper mache. Students tore strips of newspaper, dipped them in paper mache glue, and then carefully laid them on top of the armature.
