Kluender Art 7/8

Art 78 students are working hard to paint their animals. After painting with tempera, we are adding patterns with colored pencil.

The finished product will combine opposing elements of realism and abstraction.

Exploratory Ryan

After completing their weaving, students then created Op Art shapes to place on top of their weaving.
Here a student is completing his Op Art Sphere.
And here you can see a collection of spheres and cubes!
A completed piece, being graded by the artist. Self-reflection and critique is an important skill for students.
We have some MAJOR op art shapes going on here!

Art 7/8 Ryan Cards

Our Art 7/8 class is creating a deck of cards through print making. Our theme is underwater.
Students transfer their design to blocks which they will soon be carving!
Students work on positive and negative space, and balancing out those elements.
They also have to figure out how to make their design carve-able! :)

Exploratory Ryan

Here we have our lovely students working hard on an Op Art project.
Using one point perspective students were able to to create the ILLUSION of depth with their weavings.
Here you can see students snipping their loom, weaving and completed. It involved measuring, perspective, and some real hard thinking!
